Erwin van Laar Director of Ministry Development As a passionate follower of Jesus, Erwin has a deep passion for missions and a heart for the ministries birthed by those who have heard and answered the call to live out the gospel wherever God has placed them.

Erwin is happily married to Ann-Marie, and together they have two children and five grandchildren. They enjoy being part of their local church in Alliston, ON, and Erwin is honored to occasionally speak at other fellowships.

Called to serve and follow God in the giftedness of discipleship and evangelism, many doors have been opened for Erwin to come alongside others. Erwin and Ann-Marie have adopted a ministry of encouragement. The prayer is that God would give discernment, wisdom and favor so that He may be glorified.

While Erwin offers over three decades of leadership experience in strategic planning, marketing, communications, and volunteer management, his greatest impact lies in the relationships he has cultivated, supported, and prayed over. These connections have led to transformed lives, and it is with joy that Erwin looks forward to inspiring and equipping other ministries to move forward, bringing gospel fluency and wholeness to those who are broken and lost.

When recharging is needed, from time to time, Erwin enjoys a long hike in the woods, a good book on the front porch or a well-planned date with his wife.
