It was great to see that despite the challenges camps were able to involve over 30,000 campers this summer. Camp counsellors, particularly those whose camps did not operate, were looking for help and guidance in fulfilling the Great Commission of Jesus Christ. Our staff trained and continue to train camp leaders to create various kinds of temporary communities for spiritual objectives. Mountain hikes, canoeing trips, bicycle rides, backpacking, city tours, day camps, youth groups caring for the seniors, family retreats are examples of temporary communities for spiritual objectives that functioned this past summer along with more regular summer camping.Regular camp operations are still in question for next summer, but campers will be waiting eagerly to hear about camp plans.
