Urgent NeedsSince the blast on the 4th of August, we have distributed gift boxes to over 1,600 children. We have had amazing opportunities to share God’s love and hope in this way with many families in our local community. We were able to listen and pray with many families whose houses had been damaged by the explosion. Parents shared their fears and frustrations and some of their children’s nightmares. So far we have been able to distribute over 250 food parcels as well. This meant revisiting the families we met who were most in need, and providing the children with boxes full of food and stationary, as well as trauma healing resources. It has been such a privilege to be invited into people’s homes and to be able to share some of God’s comfort with them in this difficult time.
Our MinistryNew Heights partners with local Christian congregations to provide Christmas and Summer Kid’s Camps. Kids from different religious backgrounds are invited to spend time in a fun, loving, and learning environment where they hear the gospel message through Bible stories, drama, songs and games. With the impact of the pandemic and Beirut explosion, we have found new ways to reach children and families with God's love and good news..
