About 1/3 of our church planters are busier than ever while the other 2/3 are finding margin and some level of rest. Giving has been steady and stable for most, and at the same time most have lost access to rental facilities for gatherings. Our greatest gift to these pastors and church planters is being a safe place for them to be real about how things are going, and to remind ourselves of the gospel, God’s goodness, and to pray together. Our focus remains identifying and raising up the next generation of leaders through assessment, coaching, and training relationships. We provide experience and expertise, and a place where they feel they belong, and the results are encouraging with over 90% of those who engage with us finding they are healthy and fruitful, thriving past the 5-year mark which is a milestone for church planting. In Ontario we've started four new groups for leaders at different stages of church planting. We're focused on being honest about how we're doing, guarding time for prayer, and offering relevant, high-quality learning resources. Church planters from across the province are engaging, building community, praying, and learning together. So far this year in BC we’ve already assessed six new couples for church planting and have an additional seven couples scheduled for assessment in July. This is very exciting as it shows God continues to raise up workers for the harvest in Canada, even during a pandemic! In Quebec we continue to offer specialized training and coaching and have trained over 1500 people in “The Gospel as a Second Language” which trains people to be missional in everyday living. We are scheduling an Assessment for French church planters for the fall. If you’d like to participate with us financially, every gift of any size helps. We do have some specific financial needs as well for carrying on various parts of our ministry. Running Assessment Centers for assessing potential planters and pastors ($2000 per couple to run an Assessment Center), for coaching and mentoring ($200 per pastor each month), and for training ($500 per month per city). PGJyLz4=Prayer RequestWe continue to plant churches and campuses but find the church in Canada is still losing ground with more churches closing each year than are being planted. With the addition of Covid, more pastors than usual are leaving ministry and we find ourselves needing to raise up even more pastors. Please pray Luke 10:2 with us, that the Lord of the harvest will raise up more workers.PGJyLz4=DONATE NOWPGJyLz4=PC9icj48L2JyPg==https://gcfcanada.comwp-content/uploads/2020/11/GCF-Logo-2.pngABOUT GCFSince 2002, the Great Commission Foundation has been a place for individuals, ministries and organizations to thrive in all areas of ministry in order to help fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus Christ and provide for the impoverished. We are passionate about simplifying Ministry & Mission.
