PGJyLz4=PGJyLz4=#GivingTuesday OverviewWe urgently need your help. This summer the pandemic hit Taiwan hard. Many adults were out of work and their children were out of school. The abuse rate skyrocketed and there was no place safe for many of these children. We turned away many vulnerable children as we currently have a care home setting which limits the numbers of children we are allowed to help. As soon as we have more monthly sponsors and the finances to renovate a larger building we will open a larger home (in Taiwan this type of home is called a Safety House).
Urgent NeedsCurrently, we are in need of repairs for the car we use to take the babies to therapy and to hospital appointments and on other outings. The cost of these repairs is estimated to be $2000 USD and it would give this car about another 10 years of use!We desperately need monthly sponsors and supporters to join us on the exciting new journey of opening a bigger home. Right now we are caring for babies in an apartment and we are bursting at the seams. We are ready to move and renovate a building to be a home-like orphanage setting. One Heart is here to love children from brokenness. Our reality with loving vulnerable children with medical needs, special needs, emotional needs is that there is a high risk of them dying in our care. We strive to do everything we can to make each child comfortable and surrounded with love for as long or as short as they are with us.Our hope is to see each child that we love, thrive and grow in a home like-setting. While they live with us they are our family. We dream of all the perfect outcomes. Healing for their broken bodies, forever families to love and care for them, a beautiful world where they are accepted by society and their peers. But the reality can be harsh. Reality is a world where children with special needs are not valued, instead, they are shunned and often hidden away in institutions with little care and human touch and stimulation. Reality is a lack of resources for families to be able to care for or make the best decisions for their child. Reality is an unknown future.
