Zambia Para-Military Police Chaplains “Preparing to Care” Trauma Training
Zambian Basketball Federation Referee Clinic
September 22 - October 5, 2025
Investing in today’s leaders ensures that tomorrow’s leaders
will have the tools they need for success!
The Chaplaincy trainers will host a 5-day intensive “Preparing to Care” Conference focused on a biblical perspective in providing practical and essential tools to help deal with traumatizing events and their impact on mental health and wellness. We hope that this ‘train the trainer’ approach will establish a team of Zambian Chaplains that can teach their peers, throughout the nation, to be more effective in providing care for service members, and their families, dealing with the fallout from traumatic events.
As police officers serve on the nation’s front lines, they are placing themselves in harm’s way to protect their peers, families, communities, and nation. Police see and endure horrendous experiences that often leave them devastated and broken. They need someone to offer effective support, coping strategies, hope and recovery. That is the role of the Police Chaplains!
The Basketball Referee trainers will host a 4-day skills development course to increase the levels of proficiency of the participants while at the same time sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. This ‘value added’ approach to ministry is unique in creating vocational opportunities for personal skill development resulting in relationships of trust that generate opportunities to discuss who Jesus is, what did He do, and how that affects your life!
