About This Project

Established in 1991, CEDAR Fund is an independent Christian relief and development organization founded in Hong Kong, operating under the principle of ‘From Church, Through Church’. In collaboration with local and overseas churches and Christian organizations, CEDAR is committed to living out Integral Mission of the Church in partnership with Christians around the world by:

  • Caring for the poor and disadvantaged people

  • Facilitating the transformation of lives and communities

  • Advocating and practicing social justice

Our vision is a just and compassionate world shaped by Christ’s love. We serve vulnerable communities across Africa, Asia, and the Middle East through community development, emergency relief, and poverty education that nurtures compassionate, justice‑minded disciples. Working closely with trusted Christian partners, we accompany families affected by chronic poverty, conflict, and disaster towards sustainable transformation.

The needs before us continue to deepen. Communities we serve face rising economic instability, food insecurity, displacement caused by conflicts and increasing climate‑related crises. These pressures heighten risks such as human trafficking and stretch already limited local resources. Meanwhile, global economic uncertainty and limited overseas fundraising channels—particularly the inability to receive tax‑deductible gifts internationally—constrain our capacity to mobilize wider Christian support.

In response to these challenges, CEDAR continues to strengthen our community‑based development model, ensuring that local partners lead solutions that are culturally appropriate and sustainable. We invest in livelihood empowerment, disaster response, peacebuilding and anti-human trafficking initiatives so that vulnerable families may build secure and dignified futures. Transparency, accountability, and long‑standing partnerships remain central to our ministry.

To meet growing needs, we seek the support of fellow disciples who share our calling to pursue compassion and justice worldwide. With your partnership, CEDAR can continue to walk alongside the poor, restore dignity, and bring hope—bearing witness to Christ’s love in both word and deed.
