About This Project

For several decades, Jesús Responde al Mundo de Hoy has been a channel of blessing for hundreds of thousands of people in Paraguay, serving them through various ministries, in close collaboration with local churches of all evangelical denominations.

Various evangelistic events, worker training, along with a variety of children's ministries that directly reach over 60,000 children and teenagers each month, among others, shape Jesús Responde's work, fulfilling the vision of "Writing the name of Jesus big over Paraguay and the world."

Evangelistic Events. According to local needs, these events can be conducted either in collaboration with a single church or with a united group of congregations to reach an entire city. They may last for a single day or span several days, often including a special event for children. Each of these efforts involves a team of experienced evangelists, musicians, volunteer trainers, and workers for technical and logistical support. These events reach tens of thousands of people every year, with the expectation that they will subsequently be connected with local churches.

Soup kitchens for children. In Paraguay, at least a quarter of the population lives in poverty. This calls for a response from Christians commensurate with such a significant need. Thus, through Jesús Responde, we collaborate with local churches in impoverished areas to provide children's soup kitchens. In these places, children can access food, a welcoming environment, and biblical teaching on a weekly basis. With the support of Jesús Responde, a network of 600 soup kitchens serves more than 40,000 children.

Awana Bible Clubs. We understand that the most important aspect of serving children is the transformative teaching of the Word of God. We do this through the Truth Seekers (children) and Youth Connection (teenagers) programs from Awana International, with whom we have a ministry alliance. Currently, more than 12,000 children and teenagers are part of these evangelism and discipleship programs, with training and high-quality materials provided to local workers implementing the Clubs.

Aquila and Priscilla Institute. Since its beginning, the Church has needed more workers, called, empowered, and equipped. The Aquila and Priscilla Institute, part of Jesús Responde, provides training that is simple and relevant for new workers or those already in ministry. It takes teaching to where people are, which is why courses are offered in dozens of locations with hundreds of students each year. The diverse programs are supported by the Evangelical University of Paraguay and meet a deeply felt need in the national church.
