Immanuel Grace Church exists as a gathered body of believers to behold the glory and grace of God (2 Cor. 3:18), that we may love Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and love our neighbor's as ourselves. (Mark 10:30-31)
We aim to practice this through: (1) God-centered worship & enjoyment of Him (Rom. 11:36; Ps. 16:11); (2) Christ-centered expository preaching (2 Tim. 3:16-4:2; Luke 24:26-27; 1 Cor. 2:2, 15:3-4); (3) Spirit-dependent, Word-centered prayer (Mark 11:24; Luke 11:2-13); (4) Covenant community & fellowship (Acts 2:42; Heb. 10:25); (5) Biblical discipleship in the home & church (Deut. 6:7; Eph. 4:12-13); (6) Faithful witness & planting churches (Matt. 28:19-20); (7) Training pastors (2 Tim. 2:2); and (8) Inter-church partnership in mission (2 Cor. 6:1; 3 John 8-10).
The risen Lord Jesus has given His Church the command to “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” (Matt. 28:19-20) As a church we desire to be obedient to His mission through the unashamed preaching of the gospel (Rom. 1:16; Acts 28:31) and equipping the saints for the work of ministry and maturation (Eph. 4:11-13; Col. 1:28-29). Trusting in the sufficiency of Scripture for the task at hand (2 Tim. 3:16-17), we hope to produce disciples of Christ who are full of truth and rich in grace (John 1:14). In a context like Toronto, Canada, where confusion and polarization is rampant, we find there is a dire need for more Christian witness that is uncompromising on truth, warm in love, and enduring in obedience. A key feature to this would be intentionally seeking to raise and equip biblically faithful pastors to be sent out to plant other faithful churches or revitalize declining ministries, for “as the pulpit goes, so goes the church”.
We are strategically located in the northern part of the Greater Toronto Area, which happens to be quite religious with a number of churches, synagogues, mosques, and Buddhist temples in the area. As a ministry we seek to be used as a catalyst to help promote partnership in mission alongside other faithful, Bible-believing churches nearby, with the hope and prayer of revival and reformation in our city, to then lead to faithful churches being established in Canada and other parts of the world, particularly regions that have little or no gospel witness.
For the above to take place, we need partners who will pray, financially support, as well as join our church as members. Please consider partnering with us for the sake of Christ’s name being exalted in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada, and the world.
