Over three billion people in our world today remain unreached, which means they have never heard the Gospel of Jesus; that amounts to over forty percent of the world population still in need of the saving message of the Gospel.
Over the past four years of living in the Middle East, I’ve witnessed the urgent need to share the gospel with unreached people groups within the region.
Despite Islam being the predominant religion, we are witnessing the highest conversion rates to faith in Jesus that have ever occurred in Islamic History. I am joining a church planting team in Lebanon, focusing on the Alawite people.
An Unreached People Group is an identifiable group of people distinguished by a distinct culture, language, or social class who lack an indigenous community of Christians able to evangelize the rest of the people group without outside help. Seeing the lack of access people in Muslim- majority countries have to the saving message of the Gospel of Jesus, is why I feel called to serve there.
Jesus said, “Go into all the world and proclaim the Gospel to the whole creation.” (Mark 16:15) The Gospel, simply meaning “good news,” is the message of forgiveness of sin through the atoning work of Jesus Christ. It is God’s rescue plan of redemption for those who put their trust in Jesus in order to be reconciled to a Holy God. This salvation plan is clearly laid out in the Bible in the words of Jesus: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).
In His final message to His disciples, Jesus proclaimed that “the Gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come” (Matthew 24:14). There is still much work to be done before the gospel has been shared with all nations. Truly, “the harvest is great, but the workers are few” (Matthew 9:3).
Would you prayerfully consider getting involved in global missions by partnering with me in prayer and financial support? Together, let us actively obey the commission that Jesus has called us to and make Him known among the nations.
All Glory to Him!
