We are a formal outlet of the University of the Nations (Uofn) focusing on training the following schools: Transformation Prayer Ministry and the Prophetic School. We also have an app that we are busy developing that is a self-help course on growing in your relationship with the Holy Spirit. We address the following topics:
Training and equipping mental health experts
The most people we have trained at our ministry are prayer counselors in Transformation Prayer Ministry. It is a Christian mental health tool where people receive truth in their painful memories. This tool has proven very effective and originates from the USA from doctor Ed Smith. Wikus and Christien is also on the SA leadership of TPMSA. Christien does two schools a year and she leads the national training on internet. (register at ywampotch.com)
Development of cities and different projects
Wikus is also part of the Touching Africa initiave and is part of the core team developing projects in the community. Currently we are working with real life centre in Ikageng with a possible pre-school. There is also a pothole project for roads that are disintegrating and a training centre in the next town called Vredefort. Touching Africa has a national footprint but Wikus partners more with the local projects.
Development of ethical leaders in the governance sphere
Wikus is working with the Centre of Advocacy, Law and Justice in the governments of Eswatini and South-Africa with the promotion of ethical leadership. We are currently in discussions with the parliament on the possibility of Godly govenment training schools.
In Eswatini we visit yearly for a week of training with parliament members, legal officials and prefects in school to establish a worldview of anti-corruption.
YwamPotch has aslo helped the planting YWAM locations in the DRC and Malawi under refugees . Wikus goes to African countries as a speaker yearly to those locations.
Our main challenge is funding for the ministry and the staff. Ywam is a volunteer organization and we need to raise our own funds. Wikus was invited to the African leadership conference and the international leadership conference which he couldn’t attend due to the lack of funds.
We are applying to the Great Commission to be an intermediary for the funding we lack. We have also created an app where the ministry can raise funds and reach many different languages with the basic training on the Holy Spirit. We have a lot going on as a ministry and if we get enough funding we can spend more time and energy in the ministry.
