About This Project
Hand in Hand empowers newcomers to Canada through mentorship, resourcing, and practical support. We also partner with others to create online ministry resources in Arabic and Tamajeq, benefitting people in hard-to-reach countries as well as local newcomers to Canada.
For local settlement support, our desire is to bridge the gap. We partner with other organizations and ministries in welcoming newcomers and helping them settle. There are excellent settlement agencies and supports, but not everyone knows how to access these resources. As a couple, we bring varied experiences to our work with refugees and newcomers. Between the two of us, we speak Arabic, Tamajeq, English and French. We have moved countries multiple times ourselves and understand some of the barriers of culture and language when you move to a new country. We are grateful to use our experience to help others adjust to Canada and thrive in this new country.
We also create engaging resources for people in hard-to-reach countries, that local newcomers can also access. We have experience in graphic design and content creation and are excited to use these skills to create online resources in Arabic and Tamajeq. We highly value partnership and are partnering with another organization to create this content. If you’d like to hear more we’d love to connect in person!
