Jake And Dorothy Fehr - Transforming Lives in Bolivia

Bolivia is a land of diverse landscapes, a rich cultural heritage, and a population of approximately 12 million people. The country is known for its stunning Andean mountains, lush Amazon rainforest, and vast salt flats. Despite its natural beauty, Bolivia faces significant challenges, including poverty, political instability, and social inequality. The predominant religion in Bolivia is Roman Catholicism, deeply intertwined with indigenous beliefs and practices. This unique blend of cultures and faiths adds to the colorful tapestry of Bolivia's society, where struggles for social justice and economic development are ongoing.

Nestled in the heart of Santa Cruz, Bolivia, Jake And Dorothy Fehr's ministry radiates as a source of hope and transformation. Their return to Bolivia just two months ago marked a joyous homecoming to this vibrant country they hold dear. The journey of their ministry began in 2008 when they acquired a lot that once served as a red-light district. Through dedicated efforts, they have transformed this space into the Shekinah Ministry Center, a place dedicated to honoring the presence and glory of the Lord. This center now encompasses their residence, the Chikina Guest Apartment for visitors and missionaries, and a bustling hub of ministry activities.

The Shekinah Ministry Center stands not just as a physical structure but as a testament to the transformative power of faith. On its second floor, the local church, Gracia Soberana, finds its home, offering services and discipleship courses throughout the week. Additionally, the center boasts an events space used for seminars, Bible courses, and celebrations such as birthdays and baptisms. Recently, they rejoiced in a baptism held in their pool, marking another milestone in their ministry's journey.

Beyond the tangible spaces, Jake and Dorothy oversee RCB radio ministries, broadcasting in Quechua, Spanish, and Low German. Despite the challenges posed by COVID-19, their team in Bolivia has admirably maintained the radio equipment, ensuring broadcasts continue with efficiency. Presently, they are focused on expanding programming, welcoming new broadcasters, and enriching the content to reach a broader audience with messages of faith and hope.

As they continue their journey of growth and service, Jake and Dorothy invite the support and prayers of their community. The work of the radio ministry demands meticulous planning and dedicated effort, and they are grateful for the prayers that sustain them. While their hearts are in Bolivia, they also hold dear their home church, family, and grandchildren. Your thoughts and prayers are invaluable to Jake and Dorothy Fehr as they continue to illuminate lives in Bolivia. Thank you for being a part of their impactful journey.
