About This Project
Trip’s Place began with a dream, like most dreams it has been in the works for several years. The vision of Trip’s Place is to provide a safe home for single women or women and their children who have experienced domestic violence, sex trafficking and/or sexual exploitation. Trip’s Place will be set up as second or third-stage housing. We plan to provide equine therapy through our partner, The Ranch Without Borders, as well as, help in finding employment, and parenting and provide other modalities such as counselling. Through our interaction with the women and children, we will model God’s love.
Trip’s Place will be situated in the country in a natural setting. A country setting will provide a quiet atmosphere, with animals and nature to help the women heal. We want the women who enter Trip’s Place to know that we will be with them every step of the way, through their ups and downs. They’ll learn to stand tall and put one foot in front of the other but they also need to Learn to Fall.
