October 1 – 21, 2026

Investing in today’s leaders ensures that tomorrow’s leaders will have the tools they need for success!
Two 4-day intensive “Preparing to Care” Trauma Conferences for Chaplains

Partnering with the Zambian Ministry of Defense, BTOCM will be providing trauma recognition and intervention training for Chaplains serving police, military, and corrections personnel and their families. The training provides a Biblical perspective in providing practical and essential tools to help deal with traumatizing events and the impact they have on mental health and wellness.

We hope this ‘Train the Trainer’ approach will establish a team of Zambian Chaplains that can teach their peers, throughout the nation, to be more effective in providing care for service members, and their families, dealing with the fallout from traumatic incidents.

As Chaplains, they serve their peers who risk their lives serving on the nation’s front lines. They place themselves in harm’s way to protect their peers, families, communities, and nation. Police, corrections and military personnel see and endure horrendous experiences that often leave them devastated and broken. They need someone to offer effective support, coping strategies, hope and recovery. That is the role of the Police Chaplains!

Two 1-day Women’s Trauma Awareness & Care Seminars

The seminars will focus on providing orientation to trauma and addiction issues, by addressing definitions, symptoms, supports, and how to care for those in trauma/addiction. Additional orientation will be provided on issues such as grief and loss, suicide, intimate partner violence, and personal wellness.

One day will target Campus Crusade for Christ Zambia women staff and volunteers as well as the spouses of CCCZ staff. The other day will be specifically designed for professional women (medical and legal professionals, educators and administrators, business owners and managers etc.).

The goal is to provide a Biblical framework to discover the hope and healing that can be found in a relationship with Jesus Christ, even in the darkest of times.

One Full Day of Prison Ministries

Outreaches are planned for sharing the gospel with women imprisoned in long-term care and then to men at a police station remand jail. Our team will provide personal care gifts to the 200+ women, share personal testimonies and the life changing message of the gospel.

At the police station we will share the gospel and provide personal care items with 35-40 inmates.

Jesus Christ is the light of the world who brings light into the darkest of places. We serve as ‘bearers’ of His light!
