About This Partner

Beautiful Blessings is located in the capital city of DRC, Kinshasa, in one of the poorest neighborhoods. Its purpose is to create a safe place where babies and young children are cared for and loved while their moms are learning a trade to lift themselves out of poverty. Sharise Riether started it in 2021 when she found out about this need for childcare. She partnered with an existing ministry called Tabitha Centers where they teach women a trade so that they can support their families. One of the biggest challenges for Tabitha Centers was that many of the women were young mothers and had nowhere to leave their children during their classes, so they would bring them, leave them unattended or drop out of classes due to lack of childcare. Beautiful Blessings combats this by providing a loving, safe place where the children are nurtured and taught God’s love while the mothers are in their classes. We feed them, play with them, teach them a Bible story and provide a head start in their education. We pray that when they leave us they know they are loved by God and have a solid foundation in Him. Right now, we have 6 staff members who make it possible to do this work and we have about 20 children enrolled!

We also have a Bible Club on Fridays where we open our facility to children in the area so they can hear about God’s love and spread it through their community. We have around 50-80 kids every week! Every other week, in another area of town, we have a small group for pre-teen girls who sell small items on the street, giving them the name “street children.” They are at a high risk of falling into prostitution and are uneducated due to lack of funds. We have a Bible study for them, feed them and support some of them in school so that they might have a better outcome in life.

Our current need is always prayers for safety and provision. Life in DRC is unsafe and often unstable. Living costs are high and poverty is extreme. We believe God is our provider and protector, so we ask for your prayers for His guiding hand over us.

Beautiful Blessings needs funds for feeding the children, paying the staff and other costs for running a daycare. We do not charge for our daycare, because we want to support the moms while they are learning to support themselves. Support is also needed for the other programs, for food and schooling to impact those children.

Last but not least, we would like to start another Beautiful Blessings in a different neighborhood in Kinshasa. In order to help the women and children there, we need funds to help with the daily operations as well as start-up costs. We can’t do any of this without donations, so thank you in advance for helping us care for these beautiful children.
