Jason, a former US Army serviceman with extensive experience in the Middle East, has been actively involved in community development since 2020. His focus is on implementing sustainable agricultural practices such as aquaponics, fodder and no-till farming to support local communities and refugees in Lebanon and surrounding regions.
His approach is multifaceted:
Agricultural Innovation: By introducing advanced farming techniques, Jason is not only enhancing food security but also promoting environmental stewardship.
Community Engagement: The search for a ‘Person of Peace’ is a strategic method to foster organic relationships within the community. This individual acts as a bridge between the local church and the community, facilitating the introduction of sustainable farming methods.
Educational Outreach: Through educational programs, Jason and the local church provide valuable training in sustainable agriculture, which serves as a platform for cultural exchange and spiritual dialogue.
The success of this initiative lies in its ability to blend agricultural education with faith-based community building, creating a sustainable model for development and peacemaking. Jason’s work exemplifies a commitment to service, innovation, and cross-cultural understanding, paving the way for a future where communities thrive both physically and spiritually.
